Solitaire | OPI’s Bond Girls Collection

First off I apologize PROFUSELY for the long-ass hiatus. I took it because like all my nails broke off and I just wasn’t very attractive in the general hand/nail area, it was a disaster, does not want. They still aren’t where I’d like them to be, they’re very uneven still, and while I feel the Leighton Denny Bio Build polish remover-serum-treatment regime has made my nails stronger, it hasn’t stopped them from peeling. I’ve also started using Rescue Oil (A Bio Oil alternative— only difference is the price) on my nails when I clear the polish off them, and a new hand and nail cream from the Body Shop, which smells amazing. Do enjoy.
So this is kind of a horrible picture, but I fancied some color on my nails as they’ve been bare for so long now, and I couldn’t decide but then I realized that of my Bond Girls mini set, I hadn’t used Solitaire yet. Like the others, it is a liquid sand. It’s kind of sheer white in color, and has large and small chunks of silver glitter in it. I just enjoy the majority of liquid sand nail polishes, I don’t know.
I feel like this particular polish might be more appropriately worn in winter, as it has kind of a fresh-snowy kind of vibe to it, but at the same time I think it’s perfect for those days when you want a little bit of color, a little bit of sass, but not too much. Plus textured polishes are amazing to wear, and so far I haven’t worn one that’s ever chipped, and they dry super quick which is ideal for impatient people like me!

I’m taking a brief hiatus while I get some health back into my nails! They’ev started peeling again, and three of them split (one of which broke off)

so I’m just going to not do anything with them for a while except use hand cream and try these new Leighton Denny bio build stuff I got.

Emerald City | Revlon

I broke two nails at work on Friday, so I had to file them down and now they look really sad.Anyway, I apologize for the lack of activity lately- it’s just that I haven’t really had any new colors to swatch as I’m saving my money for February 12th; Barry M are launching a new Silk collection and there’s at least three that I want. I saw this color yesterday, and it was the only one of it’s kind so I snagged it. It is a matte polish, but bad lighting meant I had to use the flash, I’m not 100% sold on the color, I feel like it might be more appropriate for the Christmas season, but I was mostly just curious to know what ‘matte suede’ was… Turns out it’s just matte. I like the shimmer though, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a matte shimmer.

Please tell me how I’m supposed to ignore a polish with a name like that and not buy it?I did say I had a thing for neutrals lately, and I do love this greige/taupe shade. Happy about the fact that it only took one coat, but I applied two just for my own peace of mind, although I did get some bubbles but they cleared up with a top coat.

Maleficent [Disney Villains inspired pallet]

Espresso | Barry M’s Matte Collection Racing Green | Barry MCountess | Barry M’s Royal Glitters Collection

So I saw the trailer for Disney’s Maleficent yesterday, and I have been excited for this movie since I found out about it late last year, because I am a huge fan of the Disney Villains (more so than the princesses and heroes!) and I’ve basically accepted Cruella De Vil as my Lord and Savior. I got inspired to paint my nails after seeing the trailer, and there’s just something about dark nail polishes that make me feel like a boss.
I’m a huge fan of Barry M nail paints, and for this pallet I used all Barry M. Their Matte collection I cannot sing it’s praises enough. I was so happy when they brought it out because I had wanted a matte black for so long, and I purchased OPI’s Matte Envy and I was really disappointed at how sheer it was. Barry M’s mattes are amazing.Racing Green is a lovely deep, shimmer green; I am in dire need of a new bottle though as this one is very well loved. The Royal Glitters are a textured glitter, and Countess is an absolutely beautiful shade, I adore it and I adore the name (this is one of those dark shades that makes me feel like a badass!). It’s base is primarily purple and the glitter flecks are gold and redish-coral. This is another polish I would highly recommend you get in your collection!
I added two small green gems to this, as a little extra villainous sass!
